Producer Member--are persons, firms, corporations, or partnerships who are engaged in the manufacture or construction of storm shelters and who certifies that shelters are in compliance with the Association Standard in the manufacture and installation or construction of shelters. Producer Members apply an NSSA seal bearing the Producer Member's name to each storm shelter produced.

Installer Member--are persons, firms, corporations, or partnerships who install storm shelters for Producer Members and who bear responsibility for compliance with installation instructions provided by the Producer Member.  

 

Associate Member-- are persons or entities engaged in the shelter industry but who do not have direct responsibility for shelter compliance with the Standard. Associate membership includes suppliers and others engaged in the shelter industry but who do not bear responsibility for shelter design, production, or installation.

 

 

Professional Member-- include design professionals such as registered architects and engineers who are informed of current standards and are competent to analyze and/or design shelters to assure compliance with applicable standards.

 

Corporate Sponsor-- include associations, companies, firms, corporations or partnerships that have business interests in the shelter industry and are willing to support the programs of the Association. Affiliate group memberships are invited.  Applications for Corporate Sponsor should be signed by a person authorized to sign contracts for the represented entity.

 

Individual Sponsor-- those individuals who support the purpose and mission of NSSA but who are not engaged in the shelter business.

Media Partner-- those in the media who support the purpose and mission of NSSA but who are not engaged in the shelter business.
